Rochester Woman Magazine Makes A Comeback

E-mail Print PDF

“Our game plan is simple.  Listen to what Rochester women want to read and deliver.”  The task sounds  simple enough, but a new magazine in town is testing just how easy it is.

Rochester Woman Magazine is making it's comeback later this month with a new look, and new ownership.

Owner, Kelly Breuer bought the magazine six months ago and decided to bring it back for the women of Rochester.  If you read the magazine in the past, Breuer says you will be pleasantly surprised by the changes, “It has a whole new look and feel; people don’t realize what a difference this is going to be”.

For starters, Rochester Woman Magazine will look more similar to a Cosmo magazine than the newsprint format it was in the past.  Breuer's background is in graphic design, so she is excited about the new look.

The magazine also focuses solely on Rochester women.  Every story in it will pertain—in some way—to the life of a Rochester woman.  Breuer assures, “You'll know people in here, and you’ll know contributing writers”.

Sections include art, advice, technology, cooking and more.  There will also be a section to highlight women of inspiration in Rochester.  In Breuer's words, “Women are showcased for doing really great things around the area”.

In such a fast-paced world, Breuer knows it is important to keep up with the times, “It's (the magazine) very educational, not only fun to curl up with, but it’s kind of high tech too”, she says.  The magazine will be electronic friendly as well. The best part is, the magazine is free!  It launches on January 15th and you can pick it up at over 300 locations in the Greater Rochester Area.  Visit the magazine's website for location details.
