Cable television in Webster celebrates the fifth year of broadcast for “Frontal Lobe and Dumplings”. This sketch comedy show has been compared to the now defunct television shows SCTV from Canada and Monty Python’s Flying Circus from England. The show’s inspiration was another old show, The Uncle Floyd Show from New Jersey.
Frontal Lobe and Dumplings features five regular cast members. Writer and performer Del Rivers is a former d-j and stand-up comedian. Writer and performer Amy Gdala was the former host of the sketch comedy revue “Amy’s Comedy Cellar” in Village Gate Square. Actor John Bino was also a veteran of “Amy’s Comedy Cellar” and appeared locally as a stand-up comedian under a variety of stage names. Actress Susan Steklof brings to the group a formal dramatic background and was a member of the local rock band McFadden’s Parachute. Actor Sam Plumeri was previously a member of the sketch comedy troupe Sketchy Details and other improv groups.
Over time the show has developed many original and recurring characters, including Cleedus, Klem and Maribel Lou, Judge Moody Trudy, Peter Lorre Jr., the Bum Oil Lady, the Lazania family, the Trivial Idiot and Amy Schlosshinkey. The behind the scenes rivalries of staff at “Channel 12 and a Half News” is another frequent subject. Also featured are parodies of well-known TV shows and local advertising.

In addition to Webster, the show runs on public access in Brighton, Rochester and Greece.
