State Police in Williamson arrested Kenneth B. Hawkins, 20, of 2423 Trimble Rd. Ontario, February 9, 2010. Hawkins was arrested for one count of Forgery 2nd. It is alleged Hawkins forged the signature of the previous owner of a snowmobile on a NYS Dept. of Taxation and Finance form to avoid paying sales tax and registration fees. Hawkins sold the snowmobile to another individual several months after purchasing it, and never registered the snowmobile as required by NYS Law.


State Police arrested Shareen K. Petrelli, 26 years old of 530 Salt Road, Webster on February 05, at 2:20 AM  for Driving While Intoxicated on Interstate 490 eastbound in the City of Rochester. Ms. Petrelli refused to provide a breath sample and was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets returnable in the City of Rochester Court on 2/17/10 at 9:30 AM.
On January 22, 2010 at 12:07 AM the State Police arrested Erin A. Welch 18, of 903 Copper Kettle Road, Webster, NY for Driving While Intoxicated on Goodman Street in the City of Rochester. Ms. Welch refused to provide a breath sample and is scheduled to appear in the City of Rochester Court on 02/02/2010 at 9:30AM.
State Police in Rochester arrest Pittsford man for 4 counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing, 1 count of Scheme to Defraud and 9 counts of Petit Larceny on February 2, 2010. Arressted was Keith Radley, 38 yrs old and is the Director of Eagle Eye Security Training Center, 3300 Monroe Ave, Suite 200, Pittsford, NY. He was charged with 4 counts of Offering a False Instrument for filing, 1 count of Scheme to Defraud, an E-Felony and 9 counts of Petit Larceny. Eagle Eye Training Center conducted Armed Security guard Training class in May-June of 2009 collecting fees from 9 students.Radley taught the firearms training and is not licensed or certified to do so. Each student not only lost the money they paid for the course but are no longer certified security guards anymore. Paperwork was submitted to New York State certifying their armed status and listing a certified Firearms Instructor at the individual who taught the course. Radley was processed and released to Appear in the Town of Pittsford Court on 2/11/10




Rochester man died Feb. 1st during ice fishing accident.
 The New York State Police is currently investigating a fatal ice fishing accident which occurred at approximately 7:39am, in the Village of Sodus, Wayne County.  Troopers responded to a 911 call from a neighbor who stated he heard a person calling for help.  When Troopers arrived they observed tracks indicating someone had walked onto the ice.  They also found fishing gear on a sled, but no fisherman.  The responding Trooper noticed a hole in the ice about 100 feet from shore and immediately contacted the Sodus Point Fire Department. Rescue members located a subject in the water later identified as Gary Caruana, age 58, from Rochester, NY.  Mr. Caruana was transported to Newark-Wayne Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is continuing at this time. Jan. 14. State Police in Wolcott arrest two subjects for Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 8 counts of Cruelty to Animals. The state police in Wolcott, along with Wayne County Animal Cruelty investigators, conducted a search warrant at 11580 Ridge Rd after receiving a report of a horse looking to be in poor condition. State police and Wayne County Animal Cruelty investigators responded to 11580 Ridge Rd, Wolcott, Town of Huron, Wayne County. After an inspection of  two horses on the property, it was determined that one of the two horses was emaciated.  In one of the barns on the property a dead goat and a dead duck were located.  Two dogs were located inside the barn, both suffering from extreme emaciation and dehydration.  A third dog was located in a kennel behind the barn and it too was emaciated and suffering from dehydration. 

 

After being denied access to the trailer home, a search warrant was issued.  Located inside the trailer were 11 dogs suffering various levels of neglect.  Two cats were also recovered which showed signs of neglect.  An additional dog was found dead, in an old dog food bag stored in one of the bed rooms.  There was animal feces covering the floors and the home was infested with cockroaches.

All animals were removed from the property  to the care of the Wayne County Humane Society.  A veterinary exam showed that the animals suffered from dehydration, were underfed and suffered with intestinal parasites.  Despite medical efforts, one dog removed from the home died 12 hrs after it was rescued.
were charged with shoplifting after police say they tried to take $180 worth of clothing from T.J. Maxx, 1032 Ridge Road. Charged were Mary Mabon and Lance Zerniak. The two posted bail and were issued appearance tickets for 1/12/10.
